Thanks for your interest. We are glad that you are exploring the hard, but necessary work of doing Pre-marital counseling. As a church, we offer individual sessions of counseling as opposed to group sessions. This structure allows us to cater the session(s) to the individual couple and give specific attention to your individual circumstances.

Our Goal: To give you the best chance to have a permanent, fulfilling, and God-honoring marriage!

Our Process:

1. We have a questionnaire we ask you to fill out and return prior to scheduling an appointment. This allows our pastors to get to know you and expedite your session.

2. We ask that you take an online assessment called Prepare & Enrich that our pastors are trained in administering. The assessment fee is $40 and the only cost you will incur with Crossroads Counseling.

3. Once we receive your paperwork and $40 payment – we will send you a link to take the online assessment. Once the couple completes the online assessment, we will schedule your first appointment with one of our pastors.

  • Typically, pastors take appointments M-F, 8-5. In some cases, pastors will schedule a 5:30 appointment.
  • Most sessions last 90 minutes.
  • If a Crossroads pastor is performing the marriage, you will be required to meet a minimum of 3-4 sessions.
  • If someone other than a Crossroads pastor is officiating the ceremony, the pastor will meet at least once and up to the 3-4 sessions as per request of the couple.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Do have to be a member of Crossroads Community Church to participate in counseling? No.

2. How much does it cost? Other than the $40 assessment fee charged by Prepare/Enrich, the service is offered for free as a courtesy of our pastors.

3. How long will it take? If a Crossroads pastor is marrying the couple, a minimum of 3-4 meetings should be expected. This is left to the recommendation of the pastor. If someone outside of Crossroads is officiating your ceremony, a Crossroads pastor will meet with at least once for a 90 minute session. The couple and the pastor will then make a plan as to proceed with future sessions.

4. Where do the sessions take place? The sessions take place at offices of Crossroads Community Church located at 2211 Parmer Lane, 78727.
