What type of church is Crossroads?

Crossroads is a non-denominational Christian Church. For a comprehensive answer including what we believe about God, Jesus, the Bible and more, please read What We Believe.

When and where does Crossroads meet?

What should I expect on Sunday morning?

We know going to church for the first time could create some anxiety. So to help keep that at a minimum, here is a quick summary of what you can expect at Crossroads:

People that show up prior to a gathering spend time greeting one another and staking out a seat. The worship service lasts for approximately one and a half hours. It usually begins with music, a prayer or reading from the Bible. A live band leads us in song. The service will continue with a few announcements about Community Groups and upcoming events. The message is from the Bible. It is designed to help us understand God, who we are, and the world in which we live. Every week, we participate in communion to thank God, and remind ourselves of our need for Jesus Christ. We also give back to God in the form of offerings. By giving, we recognize His provision and participate in the ministry of the church. After service people often spend ten to thirty minutes talking with one another, and then frequently go to lunch in groups.

Is it just Sundays? How do I get connected at Crossroads?

Absolutely not! While Crossroads may look like a crowd at first glance; we are really a church of Community Groups. We desire to live out our faith everyday and Community Groups are a great way the way we grow in our love for God, one another, and our city. We have many other opportunities to participate in, or explore what it means to follow Jesus Christ including many Service Opportunities.

How do I start a Community Group in my neighborhood?

There are different pathways to starting a Community Group. One option is to simply get involved in a Group near you, and let the leadership of that group know that you desire to start your own group. They will help assess your readiness to lead a group. The other option is to call or email Brad Peterson with questions regarding Community Groups.

What does membership look like at Crossroads?

If you are interested in making Crossroads your church home, check out Membership Seminar, which is offered about once a quarter. Or for further explanation, visit our NEXT event to get the skinny on Crossroads.
